AI use and transparency
"Ask the lab" is an AI tutor: its answers are generated by an AI model (Claude, from Anthropic). The panel says so at the top, before your first question.
It answers from the lab's own pages, and every number comes from the lab's engine. Answers can still be wrong: check the linked page.
Your question, your earlier questions and answers in the same conversation, and the lab pages the tutor needs are sent to Anthropic to write the answer. The conversation is kept only while the page is open and is not stored by the lab; the lab's statistics never record your question or the answer.
Do not type personal information into the tutor.
When the tutor is not available, you get the lab's own pages on your question, found by a search, not by AI.
Everything else in the lab, from the explorers and simulations to the exercises and their checks, comes from rules and calculations written in advance, not from AI.
The Dutch, Polish and German versions of the pages are translated with the help of AI.
Not advice
Everything in this lab is for learning. It is not legal, financial, investment or other professional advice.
Privacy and cookies
Pseudonymous usage statistics (pages visited, language, device type) are collected on the server with Azure Application Insights, without cookies; IP addresses are not stored.
The site sets cookies only to work: your theme and your language, kept for a year, a security cookie that protects the page's forms, and a cookie from Azure, the lab's host, that keeps your visit on the same server.
Your progress is saved in this browser only; the lab keeps no copy.
The privacy notice has the details: who is responsible, what is processed and why, how long it is kept, and your rights. Privacy notice
Questions: use the contact form on the blog (opens in a new tab).
Fictional companies and data
The companies in the case studies, such as Brambleford, the vaccine maker, and the bookshop, are made up for teaching.
Their names, people and figures are made up; any likeness to a real company is a coincidence.
The lab generates all its datasets itself from a fixed seed, including the simulated share's prices: none of them is market data, and each can be downloaded.
Trademarks
Microsoft, Azure, Copilot and other Microsoft product names are trademarks of the Microsoft group of companies.
CloudWorrior is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft; the product names are used only to describe them.
